Understanding Proposition A - Paid Sick Time Benefits

As of May 1, 2025, businesses in Missouri were required to begin tracking and reporting paid sick leave accruals for all employees, in accordance with Missouri Proposition A.
While Prop A did face legislative delays and a Senate filibuster earlier in the year, the law did take effect as passed by voter initiative. Employers were required to comply with its sick leave provisions beginning in May. However, there have been significant updates since then that all Missouri businesses should be aware of.
